పుస్తకం.నెట్ ముఖ్యోద్దేశ్యం పాఠకులు తమ మాటల్లో తాము చదివిన పుస్తకాల గురించి అందరితో పంచుకోవడం. పుస్తకాలను ఇష్టంగా చదువుకోవడమనేదే ఇక్కడ ప్రాధమిక అర్హత. మా ఆంతర్యం, జార్జ్ ఆర్వెల్ మాటల్లో.

పుస్తకం.నెట్‍లో రాసేవాళ్ళల్లో వృత్తిరిత్యా ఇంజినీర్లు, డాక్టర్లు, రచయితలు ఉన్నా వారంతా ముందుగా పుస్తకాభిమానులు.
పుస్తకం.నెట్ జనవరి ఒకటి, 2009న ప్రారంభమయ్యింది. సౌమ్య వి.బి, పూర్ణిమ తమ్మిరెడ్డి దీన్ని నిర్వహిస్తున్నారు. సాంకేతిక సాయం చేస్తున్నవారు పొద్దు.నెట్.

About pustakam.net:
Pustakam.net is a web magazine dedicated to commentaries -primarily in Telugu and occasionally in English- on world literature, by booklovers.
Apart from the book reviews and book introductions, the site also covers interactions – personal or email – with writers, booksellers, book publishers and news about the book world.
The prime motivation behind the pustakam.net has been to provide a platform to a common reader to voice his opinion of the books (s)he has read and showcase his love for books.
The regular contributors to pustakam come from varied professional backgrounds including engineers, doctors, writers, journalists and many more. Regardless what they do for a living, they all are book lovers.
pustakam.net has gone live on Jan’01, 2009. Sowmya VB and Purnima Tammireddy do the needful to keep the site running, while poddu.net provides necessary technical support background.

I was looking for “cheppalani undi” section to request something. I couldn’t find it. So I’m writing it here. Will it be possible for you to add a search criteria by author and / or book title? There a re a lot of interesting articles. But I may not have time to get the book as soon as I read wbout it. Or I might want to refer an article for some other reason much later. Keyword search is not helping much when I’m looking for articles about a particular book or an author. Sometime when I think of a book, I will wonder if there is an article on it in pustakam.net and try to search for it. Then too it is very hard to find what I want from the seemingly unrelated results that come up based on the keyword. So the rquest.

Technically speaking, what you asked can be put in place. In fact, as pustakam keeps growing, there’s no other go but to provide various options to readers to dig in the archives. We agree that the current keyword search is not effective.
That said, our professional and family commitments don’t leave much time to do all of this, as soon as possible. We request you to tolerate the delays on our part and co-operate with us. Hopefully, we’d get a solution to digging archives, soon. Meanwhile, please drop a note / comment for the books / authors you’re looking for and we’d get back to yo to the best of our abilities.

Thanks pustakam.net! When I asked if it was possible, I meant if it was “humanly” possible given your overall commitments in all aspects of your life 🙂 I got the answer 🙂 You reply promptly to all possible (:)) requests as you did just now and go a step further too. While that tells me about your keen interest in this effort, it also tells me how busy you must be. So, I hesitated quite a bit before writing that comment.
Anyway, while thinking about this search problem, I had another thought. I don’t know much about wordpress tags. But will adding book title and author’s name in the tags help in any way?

I am very happy , to hear the radio interview with Dr.Jampala Chowdry garu recently. We have been staying in Tamilnadu for the past 22 years. In our day to day life we speak Tamil. As I happen to study a little Telugu in my graduation and post graduation, I still have the zeal to learn more and to study more in Telugu. I am more interested in Telugu literature. I think this website will help me to continue my studies in Telugu. Thank you for the wonderful effort and I also thank the Vijayawada Radio station through which I could hear the most valuable interview our dear Dr.Jampala.

I am unable to write in telugu. May be lack of knowledge in web culture.
This Pusthakam site is a good job.A great job in deed. Now a days less peole reading books and discussion about books it a very interesting and encouragable issue. Hats off.
Books are our torches to history, future, in depth of understanding our roots, life and everything on ths earth.
We can not imagine the world without Trees, flowers. Like wise without books our lives are meaningless.

మంచి ప్రయత్నం, ఒక చిన్న విన్నపం, పుస్తకం పేరు వరకు తెలుగులో కన్నా ఇంగ్లీషులో ఇస్తే బాగుంటుంది. ఉదాహరణకి సీ++ ద కంప్లీట్ రెఫెరెన్స్ కన్నా C++ The Complete Reference కొంచెం సులభంగా అర్థమవుతుంది.
